    		Baptistry (Battistero)
    Construction began on Parma's baptistry in 1196, and it remains one of the greatest examples of Roman architecture in northern Italy. The inside is frescoed bountifully, and a sculpture by Antelami is said to be the building's greatest treasure. There is a small fee for admission.
